Reactions of our participants What do our participants say: Together with our 4 month old Labrador puppy we came Saturday for the first of two weekends of training, feeling somewhat insecure and not sure what to expect. After the first hour, all insecurity was gone! The serenity and professionalism with which both man and dog were approached came as a very pleasant surprise. The contents of the workshops taught us, both as humans and as dog owners, surprisingly much about our pup’s behaviour. Both the progression and the timing of the practical sessions were in complete harmony with the theoretical parts. It was moving to see how our puppy adapted his behaviour to ours (and vice versa). All of this thanks to the fantastic guidance of “Master Henk”. Indeed, Mr Vervenne goes by the name of “Master Henk” during training sessions at home. Whenever our puppy hears the name “Master Henk” she pays attention, or maybe this is just our imagination…. Thank you Henk and Linda for this fabulous experience and we will most certainly see you soon. Linda, Wim and Marley
The workshops were pleasant and instructive! I already practised with Basil Kind regards, Isabelle and Basil.
Hi Henk, Linda and Anne, With this email we would like to thank you for the pleasant weekend, Your Very Own Dog has really been an interesting and instructive course. Our dog Fik did just fine and we are very proud of him! But this could only be thanks to your golden tips and advice. We will most certainly promote this course!! Henk is really great! See you soon! Regards Peter, Nele and a big paw by Fik.
We came to your workshop last Saturday which was very instructive by the way! We will most certainly come to the puppy class on Saturday! Regards, Nele & Jeroen
You can expect us Saturday for sure Thanks for the interesting workshop Tom Claes
Azou in Wonderland It all makes sense what Henk said, it is so logical and obvious... I did learn a lot. He is great at what he does, would you let him know that on my behalf At home things go well too I think… let me try to explain: He no longer pulls his tail between his legs when we cuddle him and the last few weeks I didn’t have any unpleasant surprises in the morning: the house now has the smell of dogs and not of their insides J. He still acts like a crazy puppy though, running around with some toy. Every now and then he has a run in with Padmé: once when my mom was here and they both were standing close to her and once in our narrow hallway when they were on the leash and ready to go for a walk. Padmé now keeps her distance and doesn’t look at him. The last walk in the garden at night is also no longer a problem. I even don’t need to go out on the terrace anymore; he strolls into the garden all by himself. Ann en Azou
Dear Mister Vervenne, We indeed had to be patient, just like you said and last week we suddenly saw a significant progress in just one week. Wietske now sleeps until 6 to 6.3 am!!! Many thanks for you tips Carine en Wietske
Please pass on to Henk Vervenne I would really want to let him know that the workshop 'Pulling on the lead' last Saturday February 24th was really fantastic. M Vervenne brings across his knowledge is such a pleasant and clear way that it gives you a real good insight in the behaviour of your dog. One knows all the notions such as dominant and submissive, but evaluating your own dog is not always that simple, you really need to think about it. I most particularly liked the practical sessions. With the support of M Vervenne you can really feel how the dog responds to the correct techniques: how to get hold of his attention, how you'd better not use force to manipulate your dog in the right direction. Fang is quite a strong dog, so my arms and shoulders felt somewhat sore the next day, from the strain of standing still, but when we went for a walk on Saturday evening I noticed a distinct difference. Using the new technique, lots of compliments, it works! And Sunday morning for the first time our walk didn't feel like a struggle, for the first time my hands didn't hurt. Of course our walks are not flawless yet, but I am convinced that with a few more weeks of practise, Fang and I will be happy walking buddies. And for this I want to sincerely thank M Vervenne. To me he is a real 'Dog whisperer'. Amazing what he does with dogs he doesn't even know. He has my deepest respect. Congratulations, you will make many a dog and dog owner happy! Kind
regards
Thank you for the report of M Vervenne It was an instructive afternoon for all of us I train Seppe every day and some days are better than others. I sometimes find it hard to correctly evaluate his progress. Yesterday my husband joined me for a walk and he was really surprised about Seppe’s progress My thanks to M Vervenne and his assistants Annie Lesthaeghe and fam
